Manager, University Food Service in Stillwater, Oklahoma

Provide leadership, direction, and support to the management and supervisory team that has direct responsibility for the daily operation of Scott-Parker-Stout dining areas. Act in liaison relationships with professional colleagues and staff members in other areas of our department, other departments and with student to facilitate programmatic development, operational needs/issues and to both gain and lend professional expertise. Assure that all food operations are operated in a fiscally prudent manner by the continual monitoring of financial records, by assuring good purchasing, storage and inventory controls and by the planning and development of long-range goals that maintain the unit's financial visibility as well as responding to  customer's needs. Facilitate staff development for all levels of unit staff and self via planning and development of training programs; attendance of relevant seminars/workshops; and enhancement through travel opportunities to professional meetings and shows. All other duties as assigned. Regional or national conferences and workshops. The tasks and schedule require extensive work beyond M-F, 8-5. Some days may require to stay on feet for more than 8 hrs. per day.  Minimum qualifications: Bachelor degree in Hotel and Restaurant, Nutrition or Business and four years of progressively responsible experience in Food service management. Demonstrate leadership skills, interpersonal skills, excellent communication skills. Budgetary analysis capabilities, ability to deal with all levels of employees, customers and students. Computer knowledge highly desirable.
