Assistant Director, Dining Services in Stillwater, Oklahoma

This position provides high quality, food service management and leadership under the direction of the dining services director. This individual will be responsible for directing the daily operation of certain assigned dining facilities including on campus food operation and outlets. Assess and establish efficient work-flow and organization of food service locations to ensure maximum productivity, safety, and sanitation. Assess the anecdotal and performance data from customer feedback of services and quality. Respond to findings with continuous improvement in processes and programs. Informs and corroborates proper communication among employees by providing expectations, setting goals and objectives, and ensuring unit operation are clear on direction of operations.  Responsible for meeting financial goals and objectives for assigned units. Assists the Director with the vision of dining services by participating in the strategic planning process and the development of measurable standards of performance.Represents the Director in his/her absence. Other duties as assigned. Minimum qualifications: Bachelor degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Management or Business and four years? experience in the food industry field at management level in a high volume operation. Substantial experience managing multi-unit operations, (preferably in an educational environment).  Individual must have demonstrated managerial and organizational ability with multi unit operations. Strong personnel skills. Commitment to maintaining high-level production standards. Strong budget and fiscal management skills. Knowledge of basic accounting principles. Demonstrated success in leading a large and diverse staff. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal skill. Experience in food management inventory systems (prefer Cbord) and point of sales (prefer Micros). Excellent Microsoft Word and Excel.
