Accountant II in Stillwater, Oklahoma

The successful candidate will provide administration and management of the Department of Animal Science's financial accounting. This individual will compile, interpret, and report financial data for the Department of Animal Science. The successful candidate will advise the Department Head, faculty members, and staff on the status of departmental accounts. This individual will assist the Department Head with budget development and control. The successful candidate will work closely and effectively with faculty, staff, students, and Grants and Contracts Administration. This individual will assist with proposal submission, correspondence with funding agencies, and auditing all grants and contracts for the Department of Animal Science.  Minimum qualifications:: Bachelor's in Accounting or a related field of study and two years related experience. The successful candidate must be able to use Excel, Microsoft Word and learn both Quickbooks and the OSU financial system. This individual will interact daily with students, staff, and faculty in the Department of Animal Science. The successful candidate will work daily with DASNR financial personnel in Ag Hall and university personnel in Accounting and Purchasing. This individual will have regular contact with outside vendors.
